Saturday was rainy and chilly, but the bikers still turned out to ride and support the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI), the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), and MDA-Augie’s Quest. There were many families and groups of bikers riding to support a loved one diagnosed with ALS. It was inspiring to meet the bikers and other volunteers that have been touched by this terrible disease, and see the hope they have for a way to slow the progression of ALS. It was a great event that raised a significant amount of money, which will go directly to research for a cure. Though everyone wished for sunshine, the day was certainly a success, rain and all.
