The Best Grapefruit I Have Ever Tasted

This morning I had Rio Star grapefruit from FruitShare for breakfast.

In the past, I have not been much of a grapefruit eater, loading it up with sugar to make it eatable. But the fresh, in-season organic grapefruit that I had this morning was sweet and unbelievably juicy. I couldn’t imagine ever wanting to ruin it by putting sugar on it! Even before it was gone, I was already dreaming of the next time I could have one of these incredible grapefruits.

Besides eating them for breakfast, there are a ton of ways to incorporate grapefruit into a daily diet:

  • squeeze them for fresh, sweet juice
  • chop them up and put the pieces on a spinach salad
  • add them to a colorful fruit salad
  • slice them into wedges and eat with lunch or as a snack
